From FranL: 28mm ACW & Ronin #11 (338 points)

Whoa! Our Mr. Francis Lee drops a points-nuke with this storm of figures and models.

From Fran:
More bits and pieces and basically the last of my Union forces except for little bits and pieces that tickle my fancy, included is Curts ronin (forced on me by Ray and for money!), Rooster Cogburn (a True Grit fan and of The Duke!), we have MDF wagons with Perry mules and rider (one look at that fecking Perry metal wagon and I got these instead), there's a Perry Miniatures plastic Confederate unit, I've added some dismounted Union cavalry command figures to bolster out the unit, we also have some Foundry confederate prisoners with escort and a drunk on duty with footsore escort and lastly some more artillery crew (you can never have enough...well nearly!).
Perry plastics Confederates 24 infantry and 1 mounted officer.

Foundry Samurai/Ronin #11

Black Flag MDF wagons with six mules and rider from Perry Miniatures.
Artizan Designs US Marshall, mounted and dismounted
Foundry dismounted Union cavalry.
Foundry confederate prisoners and union escort with a drunk on duty soldier and footsore escort.
Foundry artillery crew for possible Gatling guns.
PS: Ray took the pictures...badly!
Fran, you need to talk to your publicist about securing a new photographer. You have to be realistic, your fame, status and stature really demands nothing less.  ;)

This is amazing work Mr. Lee both in its quantity and quality! Your ACW/Old West project is really coming together nicely. And that Old Skool samurai is fabulous! I really like your choice of colours for him and the pose is excellent - thanks so much!

This fine collection of figures and wagons will give Fran a stonking 338 points. This rockets him to 4th place in the points standings, leaving Tamsin and Ray in his rear view mirror.

From JohnM: 28mm Napoleonic Anhalt-Dessau Infantry (60 points)

From John:
Had a bit of a delay there, my camera broke so I had to get a new one. I also bought a light tent ($42, what was there to lose), not too bad, I need a blacker back drop, I suppose I could edit the photos in software but just too much work. Taking photos is the most boring part of the job I find.
I had a set of figures lying around were 12 Perry French plastics painted as a battalion of infantry from Anhalt-Dessau. These will join my Confederation of the Rhine OB. When I first started to paint Napoleonics, I had 12 figure battalions and this battalion was the last unit left over in the transition to 24 figure units.
So here we have also 12 figures newly painted to bring the Anhalt-Dessau up to scratch. The new bases are the ones on each end and the pink used was the infamous GW Tentacle Pink long ago obtained from Curt. None matches it. The bases and the facing were all re-done on the old figures.
Next up will be some prizes and the price of admission!

Excellent stuff John. I think this unit looks much better beefed-up to 24 figures from its original 12. I'm still looking for another pot of that GW 'Tentacle Pink' as mine is done in. It's such a great shade for Napoleonics.

These new recruits from Anhalt-Dessau will give John 60 points.

From ScottS: 15mm Great Italian Wars Crossbowmen (16 points)

From Scott:
A bit of a surprise entry this time.   Some 15th/16th Century Italian Crossbowmen from my defunct Great Italian Wars project.  I found these prepped and primed, lost amongst the debris in Man Corner.  I enjoyed painting two similar units, so settled down for an afternoon to finish this one.

Painted up as Florentine militia (I think,) they have the added benefit of having fought at some point for every European power.
Figures by Venexia, full of character and with plenty of little details; excellent castings too.  In 2012, Venexia decided to close and sold their miniature range to an American company.  Sadly, there's no sign yet of them reappearing.

Lovely 15s there Scott. The contrasting yellow and blue looks very nice. (Hmm, come to think of it I believe I may have a few sample packs of these in my 'reserve' as well!)

These crossbowmen will give Scott 16 points.
